Örebro has been our new home town for more than a week now. We are staying in the middle of the Örebro city in a rented apartment until we get the keys to our new house on the 4th of August. Our days consist of exploring the city and the surrounding areas. We are really not use to living in an apartment so there are lot of things to get use to like seagulls screaming behind our bedroom windows, neighbours smoking, neighbours talking in the buildings yard late in to the night so we hear every single word. All the trafic noises from the busy street below and so on. It?s impossible to have the windows closed as it is so hot day and night every single day. The good thing about living in this apartment is that we live in the walking distance from shops and restaurants and even parks and playgrounds. We like going to Wadköping and Stora Holmen. Örebro castle is also close by. One thing about Örebro is that you have to watch out for the bikers, scooters and such because they are everywhere. I am planning to buy a bike for myself too so I can get to work a bit faster in the future. Apart from enjoying the surrounding areas in the city we try to go to Adolfsberg as much as possible so the kids can get use to the area. The other day we met up with one of our neighbours to be (found them on a local FB group) and they gave us a tour in the area. I was overjoyed when i realiserad that the kids school and daycare were even closer than i thought. It was a maximum 5 minutes to walk or 2 minutes by bike. The Kalle Posts väg area where we are going to live seemes to have a very strong sense of community and that is actually quite new to me but i think i will like it. Tomorrow we will hopefully get some rain so we might go to the movies. This week we also plan to visit the kids grandparents and a cousin who is visiting with them. On Thursday we will meet up with two of Mias new classmates (they are twins) and on both Friday and Sunday We will have visitors. So we are very busy ?resting? he he. But of course it?s not only fun and games. Moving town is a serious bussiness even for younger kids. They often talk about our home in Täby and miss their friends. The other day Mia even cried that she wanted to go back home to Täby. I felt so sorry for her, but when she has a good day with lot?s of stuff to do she tells us how beautiful Örebro is and that she likes it. Even Sofia has cried once for wanting to go back to Tibblevägen 8. Ludwig is the calmest one and asks like 10 times a day if we have moved yet and are we already in the new house or where are we!? Oh well, it?s early days and even i get sad every now and then as it is a big change, but we just need time to adjust and settle. Thanks for reading!
Relaxing a bit after the twins have gone to bed.
Visiting the Örebro castle today.
The kids love Stora Holmen.
We are trying to do fun stuff every day to get our minds off the distress of moving. Slowly things are getting better.
Yesterday we went swimming where the daddy use to swim when he was a kid.
Visiting grandparents that Now live only 20 minutes drive away.
Taking the boat to Stora Holmen.
